For years, Josh and Ines dreamed of one day adopting a wiener dog. That dream become reality in the summer of 2017, when they rented a car and drove down to Southern California to meet Petunia, who was being re-homed at just six-months-old. 

Fast forward to the summer of 2020, Ines used her powerful skills of persuasion to convince Josh that the time had come for dachshund puppy number two.  As Josh laid on the floor absorbing the idea, Ines tossed him the car keys – and just like that, they were off to pick up 8-week-old Ollie. Dachshunds are famously stubborn, and Ollie was no exception. The weeks that followed were filled with chaos and Ollie outsmarting us both. In raising both of these pups, we learned a lot about teamwork, balance, and unconditional love.

For the past 7 years, Petunia and Ollie have brought immeasurable joy and laughter into our lives.

• Petunia's hobbies include chasing squirrels, stealing Josh's socks, digging to the center of the Earth, and silently judging everything she sees. She is a resilient little girl and an IVDD survivor.

• Ollie is a stuffed animal assassin, a loyal member of the neighborhood watch, and a cunning food thief (He once stole an entire tamale at Christmas dinner – though in his defense, it was within eye level and it was practically calling his name).  

Just as Petunia and Ollie are at the heart of Josh and Ines's everyday lives, you can expect to see their presence lovingly woven into the details of their wedding day.
